Lunar Wedgwood, restaurant at World of Wedgwood in Barlaston, Staffordshire, is proud to announce that it will feature in the final’s week of BBC One’s Celebrity MasterChef, airing on Monday 15th December at 9pm.

The episode, filmed earlier this year at World of Wedgwood, celebrates the 250th
anniversary of Jasperware, one of Wedgwood’s most iconic and recognisable clay
    creations.

As part of the challenge, the remaining Celebrity MasterChef finalists were
invited to prepare and serve a delectable afternoon tea for distinguished guests,
including renowned potters and the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, against the
backdrop of one of Britain’s most historic and influential potteries.

The service took place inside the World of Wedgwood Tea Room and Lunar,
showcasing the unique partnership between the restaurant and Wedgwood. Every
dish featured in the programme was presented on Wedgwood tableware, created just
    metres from the restaurant itself.

Craig Wilkinson, Managing Director at Lunar, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to see Lunar and World of Wedgwood featured on Celebrity
MasterChef. This episode celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship and heritage that
define Staffordshire, and being part of a moment that shines a national spotlight on
our region means a great deal to myself and our team.”

Chief Curator of the V&A Wedgwood Collection, Catrin Jones, says:
“I was delighted to join a group of makers, Wedgwood craftspeople, Stoke luminaries
and Wedgwood family members to celebrate 250 years of Wedgwood's jasperware
with a wonderful meal created by the contestants of Celebrity MasterChef. I'm
looking forward to seeing if my favourite wins!”

Former Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent and the city council’s Centenary Champion,
Councillor Lyn Sharpe, said: “I love Stoke-on-Trent and I’m proud to help share our
story on such a well-loved show in our Centenary year. Josiah Wedgwood shaped this
city and his legacy still runs through our city and our people. His drive to try new ideas
made us the world capital of ceramics and that spirit still defines Stoke-on-Trent
    today.”

Jonny Shelton, Film Office Manager at Screen Staffordshire, commented:
“Screen Staffordshire are delighted to have seen MasterChef shoot at World of
Wedgwood. In putting historic and unique Staffordshire locations and their stories on
screen, nationally-renowned shows like MasterChef bring a real positive energy,
economic impact and civic pride to the area’s locality. We hope to see MasterChef
back around these parts soon and welcome them with open arms.”

Lunar encourages guests, partners and the local community to tune in at 9pm on
BBC One to see the episode, and a glimpse of Lunar and Wedgwood on screen.
