Davenports brewery and pub brand have celebrated the reopening of The Butler's Bell, which was among 32 Weatherspoon pubs put up for sale in 2022
The brewery, which is based in Smethwick, has opened the new pub in Gaolgate Street Stafford as the first My Local pub in the county, bringing in a concept of a local pub that is accessible to anyone looking for a place to have a drink, meet friends and enjoy a meal.
The VIP launch of The Butler’s Bell last Thursday was attended by many business and sporting faces from across the area as well as the Mayor and Mayoress of Stafford Borough, Councillor Andy Cooper and Mrs Judy Cooper and Tik Tok star Davina Dickson. The General Manager of The Butler’s Bell, Ruth Houliston presented the Mayoress with a bouquet of flowers following the Mayor’s wonderful ‘toast to success’ for the new venue. Guests enjoyed a free bar and delicious canapes.
Last Saturday proved very busy also with Stafford FM's Breakfast Show Host Stu Haycock providing entertainment and customers were welcomed by Jan Smith from Stafford FM who looks after sales and events, giving away a free goody bag at the door.
The Butler’s Bell is open for food from 8am - 8pm and the breakfasts and the wickedly good burgers take some beating. There's also live sports TV and free entertainment at the weekend, which is already proving very popular.
