Stafford & District Bereavement and Loss Service hailed for voluntary work.
Stafford & District Bereavement and Loss Support Service (SDBLSS) are celebrating after receiving the coveted Kings Award for voluntary work.
The announcement comes on His Majesty King Charles III's 77th birthday.
The charity based on Weston Road, Stafford, are receiving the award in recognition of their work with adults experiencing bereavement or loss in the Stafford, Stone and surrounding areas.
The volunteers at SDBLSS offer free counselling and support to local people navigating the difficulties that bereavement and loss bring.
First established in 1984, the charity also link their work with universities offering student placements who can undertake degree courses in counselling and psychotherapy, and provide ongoing training and supervision to students.
