Michael Copeland is set to head off at the weekend.
STAFFORD MAN TO CARRY FRIDGE ON CHALLENGE ACROSS THREE-PEAKS
A former soldier from Stafford is set to take on the national three-peaks challenge with a fridge strapped to his back.
Michael Copeland will attempt to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and wales during a 24-hour challenge this weekend.
Mr.Copeland told the BBC that the fridge represents the "burden" of carrying around mental health issues, as he raises money for mental health charity MIND.
The Staffordian has recently been getting used to the challenge by climbing in Wales, the Peak District and on Cannock Chase, which has drawn some funny looks from people.
According to MIND, around one in four people in the UK experience a mental health problem each year. Women are more likely to have suicidal thoughts and make suicide attempts than men, But men are 3 times more likely to take their own life than women.
Michael Copeland's JustGiving page has already raised over £1,500, and you can help him bump that figure up by clicking here; JUSTGIVING MOUNTAINS4MENTALHEALTH
