2 second half goals from Ethan Stewart ensured it was a winning start for Stafford Rangers under the stewardship of new manager Dave Cooke.
Stewart hit a brace within 6 minutes of the re-start as the Boro bagged a huge 3 points against basement side Atherton at the Stan Robinson Stadium.
The win sees the Rangers edge closer to climbing out of the bottom four.
