Bumper crowd expected for derby day

The Boro face off in the reverse fixture against local rivals on Easter Monday

It's local derby day on Easter Bank Holiday Monday as Rangers face arch rivals Hednesford Town at the Stan Robinson Stadium.

A resurgent Rangers will be looking to get one over their neighbours following the Boxing Day 6-goal thriller which ended in a 4-2 loss.

A crowd of around 2,000 tickets have already been sold for the season's show piece fixture with the club reporting on Good Friday that they'd smashed the 1600 ticket sales barrier.

The all-ticket affair will see the Boro go into the match on the back of a 2-0 win at home to Congleton. However, Neil Kitching's men will be looking to set themselves up for Monday's local derby with a trip on Saturday afternoon to face 7th placed Avro.

Since Kitch's arrival at Marston Road, Stafford have thrust themselves up the league standings into 12th position in the Northern Premier League West Division.
