    Busy Stafford commuter route to shut this week

    Traffic along Baswich Lane will be affected.

    A busy Stafford commuter route is set to be closed this coming week as bridge repair work is carried out.

    Baswich Lane will be partially closed between The Saltings and Cornwall Drive (Saxonfields) from Wednesday 8th January until Sunday 25th January 2026. 

    The planned works will affect traffic through the daytime as it will shut each day at 7am and reopen at 5pm.

    Alternative routes are advised (the A34 & A513) but expect further delays on the diversion routes whilst work is carried out.
