Daniel Khalife congratulated officer who arrested him after alleged prison escape, court told

    A police officer's told a court that he was 'congratulated' by an alleged fugitive after catching him on a canal towpath.

    Former soldier Daniel Khalife who is from Stafford is accused of escaping from Wandsworth prison strapped to the underside of a food delivery lorry.

    The plain-clothes detective sergeant told a jury he pulled him off a bike by his arm in west London, three days after he'd gone missing.
