Passengers advised new train timetables will be implemented in December

West Midlands Railway is advising passengers to check their journey times ahead of the upcoming national timetable change next month.

From Sunday 15 December, departure times and frequencies on some routes will change as part of a national twice-yearly timetable change. This includes minor changes to calling patterns between Hereford and Birmingham.

While the changes will be minor in most locations, customers are urged to check their journey times before travelling.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director at West Midlands Railway, said: “Most changes will be the case of a few minutes either way, but those few minutes could be the difference between being on time or missing your train.

“All the new timetables are in in online journey planners, so I urge our customers to please check their travel times before heading to the station.”

The new timetables are available to view at www.wmr.uk/dec24.

There will also be extra trains on lines in Staffordshire and Warwickshire.
