Deputy Staffordshire Commissioner Dave Evans joined England boxer and coach Amy Nolan at a free Right Stuff boxing session for young people in Stafford, held as part of this year’s Staffordshire Space programme.
Space is funded by the Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime Ben Adams and brings together public, voluntary and private sector organisations to provide activities for children across Staffordshire in the school holidays.
Now a Space ‘Champion’, Amy attended her first Space session in the Stafford Right Stuff Boxing Gym at the age of 13, and since has gone on to train over 100 young people.
The Staffordshire Space programme is open to 8–17-year-olds and aims to provide memorable experiences for many, while diverting some away from potential involvement in low-level crime and anti-social behaviour.
